Freedom.

The Republic is a secret society of AoE dedicated monks who reserve all their time for AoE, studying and worshiping in deep chambers underneath churches and chapels across the globe. We are the shadows in the darkness who pull the strings and control and protect the free market and liberty-driven nature of the AoE world. We take no wives, hold no lands, and father no children. We wear no crowns and win no glory. We shall live and die by our posts. We are the swords in the darkness, the watchers on the walls. We are the fire that burns against the cold, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the light that brings the dawn, the shield that guards the realm of AoE. You owe us your lives and allegience.
